KUMI KORF

Letters to the Planet
Grounded in the wonders of nature, and touched by
the voluptuousness of spring in the tropics, this suite of three intaglio
prints by Kumi Korf celebrates Planet Earth. She once dreamt of seeing
earth with its shining waters and continents gracefully orbiting through
the universe. Begun in Spring 2000 as watercolors, Kumi transformed them
into calligraphic icons on her etching plates. Kumi named them Alpha, Beta,
and Gamma, each imbued with the feeling of eternal life on earth.
