Peter Jogo

"Song of Route 83II" is baed on photographs Peter took while driving on Interstate 83 between Harrisburg, PA and Baltimore, MD. In the past twenty years of working with pastels, Peter depicts landscapes that contain dramatic skies occurring late in the day. This type of imagery has gradually worked its way into his printmaking efforts. "83 II" renders similar effects of light, color and atmosphere, using a multiple plate mezzotint technique. Peter Jogo is a nationally acclaimed artist who interprets modern landscapes in the tradition of painter Edward Hopper. His work can be found in major museums and art collections, including Tweed Museum of Art in Minnesota, University of Wisconsin, Albany University, and Allentown Art Museum.
