Seneca Seneca is an edition of 120 cds created by Cliona Harmey as the result of a four week residency at The Ink Shop Printmaking Center. It was jointly funded by the Ink Shop and a travel grant from The Irish Arts Council. Proceeds from the cd will go to the Ink Shop. Seneca comprises a 3 min video recording made at Seneca Lake, New York. The video focuses on the movement of birds in and out of a birdhouse as evening falls. The sound of the lake is present in the ambient sound of the recording. It is hoped the simplicity of the image will allow the viewer to concentrate on the minutiae of sounds and passage of time. The full video on CD is 3 minutes long and available at The Ink Shop.
